- To commemorate Rajadharma Dewan Bahadur Chandrashekhar Iyer - The founder of Bangalore Gayana Samaja

Thus, on August 11th, 1985, Prapancha-The World of Music, was born. It was inaugurated by Late Shri B V Raman.
